Direction

This week A goes into work on two days, so I walked Django first thing. The hills to the southeast are much further away from us than the Pentlands, so our focus (and my source of Blips) is rarely in that direction. So, rather than a photo of the Estate or the Pentlands on a dull day, I took this looking towards the Moorfoot Hills. And the gorse was bright - but there's gorse in all directions at the moment!

Flat-topped, the Moorfoots  are a little higher than the Pentlands and, until a fortnight ago, there was still a line of old snow to be seen below the edge of the plateau. Sometimes there is fine light on them to admire as the sun sets, but it's too far away to be worth photographing.
