Frozen melt

We've had some very weird weather conditions today! The promised snow has arrived. Lucky me, I arranged the other day to go round church to meet some people about our audio/visual system today (to give them a little demo!), so that was fun in the cold... thankfully some other folk had been at church setting up for an event tomorrow, so the heating had been on!

The snow has been weird. To start with it refused to lay on the ground, and it was melting off the roof of our shed, but it was also forming icicles (pictured here!), all at once. It really let rip in the afternoon and then started to lay - but it instantly seemed to turn to ice under my feet, and a car that I was in actually skidded, just performing a parking manoeuvre! Thankfully we weren't going fast, or it could have been rather dangerous.

Strange to think that this time last week the temperatures were at 10+ degrees.
