Scrawny Old Man

Not all Ghanaian buses are old wrecks; not all roads are fit for nothing but to turn your vehicle prematurely into an old wreck. Most of the Accra-Kumasi road is excellent now, apart from a stretch in the middle - and all the rumble strips and speed humps in the towns and villages which are necessary because when Ghanaian drivers find themselves on roads where you can floor the throttle, they do - and what does that 50 (km/h) sign mean anyway?
Used to be the buses to get were STC (State Transport Company); these days they're very unreliable and private companies like VIP are much better.
These inter-city buses are also some of the most likely places to see white or Asian people. This is at the rest halt on the way from Kumasi to Accra.
