Stockalper palace

The last place of interest on our trip with the grandchildren was the castle in Brig. It was built in the 17th century by Kaspar Stockalper, a silk merchant and it was the largest private construction in Switzerland at the time. The children liked the stories about the efficient, inventive, assertive personality but they also liked to play hide-and-seek in the garden.
