Blue Poppy

A first sighting for 2021.
I have tried, unsuccessfully, to grow these lovely blue poppies in my garden but I will have to content myself with the larger, showier poppies which grow well in my rather heavy soil.

This single flower was growing in one of the flower beds in Greenbank Gardens. Hope to see many more in the coming weeks in both St Andrews Botanic and the National Trust Branklyn Gardens.
