In the sun

On a road bike ride today from Avenches. Noteworthy because we haven’t had a lot of sun recently.We did 57km with an elevation of 700m (and on our normal bikes) through beautiful countryside. I shall definitely sleep tonight! See extras.

We parked the Campervan on the outskirts of Avenches (an old Roman town) and visited it late afternoon. One of the extras shows the amphitheatre and there were other ruins nearby. It seems that everyone is away in their vans this weekend so we stayed where we were rather than moving on and risk not finding anywhere to stay. Felt like normality sitting outside a cafe having a glass of wine this evening (we still can’t go inside!)
