Crisp and cool autumn

A tramping mate was killed biking home from work on Friday. I feel shocked and sad. Once the frost had melted I headed out for a ride to help process my shock.

Keith and I took a couple of roads we hadn't biked before. The breeze and air holds the feel of approaching winter now. Keith conveniently needed a break beside some nice autumn colour.

I mostly biked on gravel or used the wide strip of grass and dirt beside country roads. After Russell's death on Friday I was very aware of my fragility.

Sunday ends and I'm super organised for another week. Tomorrow I'll work my first normal Monday hours in 9 months and I'll catch the bus to and from work. That's progress.

Today's gratitude: For friendships.
