Cuauhtémoc

The Caballero de los Mares (the Gentleman of the Seas) paid a visit to the Puerto Peñasco Bay in commemoration of Mexican Navy's Bicentennial. It was the only stop in the state of Sonora, one of 11 in 2021. The Cuauhtémoc is a training vessel, which holds 240 cadets. It has made 36 training voyages, logging 5,522 days on the open sea, while visiting 59 countries. Its 705,000 nautical mile journey, so far, is equal to 33 times around the world. It was quite an honor to have it anchored off the Malecón for all to view.
