The Crown - 'One Street' project

Continuing with the 'One Street' project, The Crown is looking a bit sad at the moment. The old black double doors here lead back into a cobbled yard and garden. Probably once barn doors as they were rural houses in a medieval community.
Once there used to be five inns or pubs in our little town. When I came to live here 6 years ago there were three. One became a 'Restaurant with Rooms' (small hotel) recently. The Lamb Inn is still going strong. I'll blip that another time.
That leaves The old Crown. Smaller, cosy, a skittle Alley at the back, and a garden. I only found out a week ago that it is going to be refurbished, so we wait to see. Lets hope it doesn't change too much.
