Begins with 'S'

is the theme for this week's Mono Monday hosted by Laurie54.   Well of course Stratford,  Shakespeare and Shottery all start with 'S', so Anne Hathaway's Cottage is an obvious choice especially as my walk this morning took me to Shottery. The good news is that the house and gardens, complete with woods, arboretum and brookside walks are to be reopened to the public on June 14th after closing over a year ago, March 2020.

After lunch we took a short drive out to Cliffod Chambers.  There was a wedding going on at their local church, St. Helens, and we watched with a group of locals as the bride, groom and guests came out to a loud peal of bells.  The flower decked wedding car was a fairly beat up Land Rover series 2.

Seeing the wedding was a coincidence as it was exactly two years ago today that Emma and Andy had their first wedding at Stratford Registration Office, the main celebration being a week later in Bergerac, France.  I've added a pic from the Stratford do in the extras.

So 'S' is also for Special Day!
