Grand Hotel, Northumberland Avenue

I went to a drinks reception after work this evening in the Ballroom of the Grand Hotel in London's Northumberland Avenue. The hotel, a gem of Edwardian London, was requisitioned by the War Office during the First World War and remained as Govenment Offices until just a few years ago.

Now it's restored as a fashionable hotel. This is detail is from the Ballroom ceiling.
