Last autumn we supplemented a small area of our young oak woodland with woodland bluebells hoping that would eventually spread to give a carpet of the flowers in spring.  The result was not as expected; the flowers seem to me to be quite different from the ones in the local bluebell woods.  Has the garden centre fobbed me off with hybrids?
