The walk from East Linton to Dunbar follows the River Tyne for part of the way along the side of fields until it reaches Hedderwick Sands and Belhaven Bay and then the cliffs of Dunbar.  Although the river was not really high I doubt if even a tractor would try to cross the river here at Knowes but fortunately there is a footbridge.  However while crossing the sands at Belhaven Bay we realised that the tide was coming in too fast for us to cross The Bridge to Nowhere so had to detour towards West Barns.  It was quite a varied walk with much to see particularly the multitude of flowers and the variety of birds such as yellowhammers, larks, sand martins and sea birds and the 10 day old baby lama which came up to say hello as we passed East Links Park.   And it for a change it didn’t rain!
(I have now caught up with my backblips)
