Icicles

Very cold but sunny today - though you wouldn't think so looking at what PaintShop's done to my blip (with a little help from me!). Flowers popping out all over the place - heathers, daffies, crocus, things of which I don't know the name...

It suddenly struck me today that when you look at photos of the mid 20th century, all the working men are wearing flat cloth caps. It's a kind of uniform. Now they're all wearing woolly hats. And not only working men, also the recently retired! We have moved from the Cloth Cap Era to the Woolly Hat Era, and never noticed the transition.
