Striped for action

In the months since February that the pavement widening work has been going on between Kinghorn and Burntisland I seem to have struck up a rapport of sorts with some of the workforce as I passed to and fro on my walk in rain, hail and sometimes, as it was today, sunshine. I was reliably informed that the next (and hopefully final stage of the transformation) is painting a broad yellow stripe along the edge of the pavement so that cyclists can tell where the pavement ends and the road begins. The thought did cross my mind that if a cyclist's eyesight is that bad should they be on a bike in the first place..?

The guys looked uncharacteristically happy as they started out with only four days and two miles to go...
