* Emergency Black Cat Blip

Today's blip didn't quite pan out as expected. With the prospect of an outdoor concert in Saint Laurent this evening, I thought my blip would be sorted so didn't bother during the day. But when we got there, as we strolled towards the venue, we bumped into R, who looked very surprised when we said we were going to the concert. "It's tomorrow night." Oops. He was right.

Having gone out, and given that it was still only 6 pm, we thought we might as well stop at the newly open bar in Fabrezan for a drink on the way home. We duly did, had our single drink, and as S went into the bar to pay, down the road came our German friends U and D, who have a holiday house in Fabrezan and whom we haven't seen for close to two years thanks to Covid. They had just arrived yesterday. They'd booked a table to eat, so we sat back down and shared a plate of tapas between us to keep them company while they ate. It was a lovely surprise, and we had a good chat before leaving in time to get home for the 9 pm curfew. So a different evening from expected but very enjoyable.

The terrace was full of regulars who seemed to have not a care in the world about curfew, social distancing, or anything except having a good time. U and D were a bit shocked, as lockdown was only eased two days ago in Germany. Unlike us they are both double jabbed though!
