Insh Kirk

Like many other Highland kirks, Insh is painted white and situated on the shore of a loch. The knoll on which Insh stands is known as Tom Eunan and overlooks Loch Insh near Kincraig. The kirk is dedicated to St Adamnan, a biographer of St Columba.

Within the kirk is a bronze bell which was once removed to Perth. The bell is reputed to have repeatedly tolled 'Tom Eodhnain' broken lose and to have flown, under its own power, back to Insh Kirk. Believe that if you will.
