End of an Era

Memo retro entry today.

Tonight was the last ever match for older Colts (17 &18 year olds) players, before they join the senior teams / go away to university etc. Much rougher as they get older; 2 blood injuries, 1 paramedic visit and 1 off to the local hospital to get his shoulder checked out this match. The opposition were big and played dirty - hence the injuries.

Vintage shot of our boy (with ball) on the tour to Wales in 2016 which included watching the England vs Wales 6 Nations match at the atmospheric Millenium Stadium in Cardiff. Extra shows the team shot this evening (our son to the left of the coach in the middle).

Around 5 of them have played together at Southwell since they were 6 years old. So many happy memories watching them all grow up.

Some excitement in the village that the new club 1st team coach & former British Lions player was down our local pub, having moved into the village.
