Panic!

My relaxing Friday was not quite that this week. After a lovely 'lush' bath I got this photo from Carys. All trains to Hitchin from London were cancelled due to overhead line issues.

She asked the platform staff what to do and was told to get a train to St Albans and get a standard bus from there. Luckily I got the message before she did this because those buses a) take over an hour and more importantly b) stop running just after 5pm! She would have been stranded!

I got her on a train to Luton then got in the car and headed over to collect her. All good in the end. The other option would have been to tube to Cockfosters and collect from there, but that is a much longer drive.
