On This Day In History
1431: Joan of Arc is burned at the stake for heresy

Quote Of The Day
"One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying."
(Joan of Arc)

After a 22 kilometers run in the morning - perfect weather for it, sunny but not too hot - I went to Rokko Island in the afternoon to see the Giga-Manga Exhibition  at the Kobe Artists Museum. It's an interesting exhibition that traces the development of manga from satirical ukiyo-e of the Edo Period (1603-1868), through to publication in newspapers and magazines during the Meiji Period (1868-1912.)
