Cuckoos in the cloud

Sitting here for a good while, I was joined by ever closer cuckoos - a male and a female, with her peculiar call.  I meandered on the lower side of Rocky Valley and can't have been far away from them at all.  It felt like surround sound at one point.

You can't beat a fogbow and a vague brocken spectre when you think the season is well and truly over.
