Life with Alice

Spring Flood

Grandpa would have celebrated his ninetieth birthday tomorrow, so me and mum went on a drive to give him fresh flowers. Red roses with white, his regiment’s colours. We miss him lots.

When we visit his grave, we also go walkies around a small mountain, if you can believe that. Today, the small stream has lots of water in it, much more than usual. I jumped rocks and had a good time. Mum also checked a geocache of hers, which was lucky, because it was gone! She put a temporary container there, until next time.

I just wish we had brought a picnic. I think she forgot.
