Ye Olde Kebab House

Most people across the world associate Stratford-on-Avon with the famous bard William Shakespeare. Thousands of people flock here every year to visit the town and especially to see the Elizabethan properties associated with him.

Just off Henley Street, hosting Shakespeare's birthplace, is a small property missed by most of the tourists; it's the original Kebab House serving customers since 1564. One can just imagine Will staggering out of The White Swan, just out of shot, taking this shortcut back home and stopping off for a kebab and fried chicken before creeping quietly into his house, having removed his pointy boots so as not to disturb his parents.
