Uluru

We went out to the rock at sunrise and will do so every morning
Of our stay.
For first timers you really need to scope out all of the vantage points for the optimum lighting experience of sunrise and sunset.
These first shots including the extras are the macro experience of the first full day.
We had great conversations with travellers at sunset tonight and two beautiful local indigenous women Rhonda and Barbara.
The Yulara centre is vast with hotels and a shopping centre and a massive camp ground.
The Anangu are the original owners of the land and the sacred site of Uluru.
Whilst it is a thriving tourist and commercial area the disparity in the sharing of wealth generated from Aboriginal land is quite stark.
One happy initiative though is one of the cafes - Kulata Academy is a training centre for young indigenous people to start off their careers in hospitality and tourism.
