The first ever golfing competition

Here’s a statue of John Rattray, who as well as being a surgeon and Jacobite, was the first person to tee off in a golf competition, in 1744. Blipped his statue today in Leith Links, where we were walking around following Martin getting his second jab.

Another beautiful day weatherwise.

I hope you are enjoying the bank holiday too.
