They're back!!!

Absolutely wonderful to have my daughter and granddaughter safely home from America.

Their arrival in Manchester at 7.30 this morning follows five weeks of specialist surgery and treatment to enable Evie to walk for the first time in her life.

We took them to our house where both of them managed smiles and some stories of their time away, despite having had very little sleep in the last 48 hours. Evie even managed to demonstrate how she can stand with her feet flat on the floor and nearly straight legs (a first) and walk a few steps (with Mum's assistance). Then it was off home with Mummy and Daddy and a reunion later with her four siblings.

I did manage a few snaps of her on her feet that I wanted to share on Blip. However due to my rubbish photography they are only suitable for the family album.

All in all it was a truly momentous occasion for us.
