On a dull evening, these showy white flowers really stand out, but how best to photograph them? I decided they looked good intermingled with the hostas for a bit of contrast and Deutzia's yellow leaves blended with the hosta's stripes.

Despite the overcast sky, I had to work at some of the upward facing petals that were too bright and causing a distraction. It's always tricky getting enough detail in white.
