Messy pie

Not a pertinent image for Memorial Day, but dinner was tasty and I hadn't taken any other photos. Worked hard outdoors today, after taking D. to his haircut. My sinuses don't really appreciate the coating of pollen and dust, but we got a lot done. 

I don't have family or ancestors who lost their lives in war, though W's grandfather nearly did when his ship was bombed in the South Pacific. Quite a few veterans, though. Back when I was growing up, this weekend entailed driving bucketloads of flowers to the many old cemeteries around the Palouse.
