Ban Collie Day Monday!

But we decided he could come with us:). Great weather again, glad I brought shorts with me, ever the optimist and this time I was right.

Lazy morning, Fairy Glen (to quote Ms H, “like Jupiter Artland but natural”) which was strange and lovely, not sure why we’ve never been here before. A wee look around the potteries at Uig then another al fresco late lunch, with a clear view over the water and some delicious nut roast (why don't I every make nut roast?)

Then the dinosaur hunt began. A quick stop at Duntulm Castle ruins and beach but we couldn’t find any prints, then to the main event, for which tide tables had been checked to ensure we got there at low tide. An Corran beach where 18 dinosaur footprints have been found since 2001 (possibly one in the photo above?). We may have seen 2 or 3 but it's difficult to tell, but it was fun searching then having a walk on the sandy beach. We decided all too tired, hot and hungry to go to Brother's Point where different Dino prints wee discovered just last year, but might do it later in the week. Another lovely Skye day, but Arlo exhausted so tomorrow will be a quiet one.
