Pictures of death

Today I went to a photo expo and came across this photo of Stalin on his death bed. My first thought was of the people staging the scene, the tropical vegetation, the flowers...and then I thought there is something so particularly interesting about dead faces. Sometimes I regret not having taken pictures of my father on his death bed. It's strange but my face never looked more like my dad's than when he lay there, lifeless. I wonder if people nowadays instagram at funerals. That was my thought of the day and let me reassure you, it was a good day. Thinking about death is not necessarily depressing, it's just part of life.
