Waterfall

This waterfall is an ever changing feature of my daily walk. At this time of year it is just a trickle. It is fed by a local reservoir and at this time of year the water level is low. In winter though it is a very different story. The water plunges over the edge like a torrent, crashing on the rocks and creating a thick mist in the air. One year (2010, I think), there was a sudden and hard frost that lasted for weeks. The waterfall froze solid, making incredible ice sculptures as the water froze in random columns and clusters. It was beautiful.
