Watching the World go by ....

Continuing my week of statues around Canary Wharf, I bring you these two fine specimens.

I particularly liked the permanence of these two figures watching people getting on with their lives, while all the humans in the picture appear to be oblivious of everything around them:-

The man to the left leaning against the grit container, "having a fag".

The lady in the red coat is sheltering out of the cold wind, reading her book.

The man in the brown jacket behind her, talking on his 'phone headset.

The man at the top of the stairs seems to be hurrying to his next appointment.
