Starting History GCSE!

Today was Carys's first live history lesson via zoom. We were still in Exeter so the lesson took place in the hotel room. The bonus of that was that I could hear it all and so far I am very impressed with the tutor. He was humourous but got through stuff, which is good because the syllabus is dense. Homework is once a fortnight and will be roughly half an hour apparently, based on GCSE style questions. RS tomorrow follows the same set up too. Carys was suitably impressed and is happily talking about adding Ancient Civilizations GCSE to the Environmental Management GCSE she already wants to do with this guy next year.

Will, in a near food coma, watched a film on Disney+ while the lesson was going on. He has, on the whole been really good this last few days. A couple of incidences of him totally ignoring what I have asked him to do, which have been pointed out to him, but other than that he has been on top form.

We headed home after the lesson and only hit traffic at 3.30pm on the M25 and then the A1M.

Tomorrow Carys starts her RS GCSE, Will is planning to run. He has about 10k left on his Easter Island Challenge. I need to sort out violin insurance and return the hire violin.
