At the British Museum

Went to see the exhibition ‘Thomas Becket: murder and the making of a saint’. The collage shows one of the Miracle Windows from Canterbury Cathedral, with some of the glass dating back to the 12th century, a beautiful relief showing the scene just before the murder and a rare relic. The relic, supposedly part of Becket’s skull, was probably smuggled out of England by a Catholic in the 1500’s. An interesting exhibition and I’m pleased that it was raining and not as hot as it has been this all this week.
