Yellow Iris in the Rain.

Summer arrived I thought and so didn't really bother listening to the weather forecast in any great detail.  Bit of a shock then on waking and finding it looked less Mediterranean than the last week.  Got out early to the allotment to walk Ginny but caught the start of a gentle drizzle which continued all day getting heavier at times.  We got wettish - her coat went all curly after I towel dried her - my hair straightened!
Iris are one of my favourite flowers and so this very generous patch of all pale yellow flowers had just unfurled and luckily with the gentle drizzle were undamaged to photograph up close as with the purple ones on Wednesday.
