Today's the day ....................... to make space

It started as an idea for somewhere to sit outside but under cover while Lockdown was fully operational.  It's an area between the house and the garage which did have a roof of sorts when we came here at first.  But the roof leaked in several places and it wasn't a space you would want to spend any time in - let alone sit there by choice.

But Will has been working hard to change that.  With Rob's help, he put on a new roof which is fully waterproof.  He found some glass panels and incorporated them into side partitions which made it a much more cosy space.  He gave the garage wall a coat of white paint and planted a couple of vines that will eventually grow over it.  And then, the final touch was a few hooks for lanterns.

It looks a treat now and is a very useful extra space to have.  The Chinese Chestnut tree in a pot thinks it's a wonderful place to be ............................!
