Magnificent Maths

My class have been working on a similar task to every week since the start of the year. It's called "What's the Question?", in which they think of questions which are equal to a given number. This week's number was 26. The wide variety of questions they have come up with is testament to their enthusiasm! I have done this activity with many classes over the years, but this has got to be one of the best. This week they came up with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions questions and even Roman numerals!

* The eagle eyed number buffs amongst you will notice that the divisions questions are wrong. We worked these out in pairs after writing them on the board, and discovered they were incorrect! The children are always very gracious about checking each other's mistakes.
