Mother, Bored?

Yesterday they came to fix the dishwasher again. 

The man left the old parts and today I decided to dispose of them. Sorting the recyclables I came across this circuit board.

It does seem ridiculously complicated for such a simple machine. I was struck by the way it looked like an industrial unit so thought I would blip it.
