My birthday started with an early dog walk with the whole pack. I caught them by surprise as they are used to me leaving early to go swimming during the week. A jingle of leads soon caught their attention.

My friend picked me up for a picnic on Seaford beach. After a stroll along the prom we went to Brighton marina. We played the slot machines in the arcade, looked round the shops then walked along the harbour walls.

My middle grandson is staying overnight so we had takeaway pizza to round off the day.

It’s been a really fun day with lots of cards and presents too.
