Left hand turn

I turned left and all of the sudden a car was right there. She went around but I still clipped the back left side of her. The right side where I clipped her was slightly loose on my car and it pulled the entire front piece off. It was shocking to me that I did not see it. I am just very thankful neither of us were hurt and speed was not involved. I have not caused an accident in years and years.
