Riverside Plantings…

Daughter Margaret was here from Wellington today. She and Duncan walked into town this morning and I drove in to meet them for coffee and yummy food at a very popular cafe called “Ritual”. This evening Margaret and Keith flew to Wellington. Keith is looking forward to a couple of days being pampered by Margaret, Steve and granddaughter Emily. Over the last few years a number of dedicated folk have worked to establish areas of native plants in groups along the banks and berms of the Taylor River. I love the way there are differing plants in colours , varieties and textures all grouped together. There are some big round fluffy looking tussocks such as the one shown here. It looks and feels soft, really tactile.
