Anatole's blips

Beinn a' Chaisteil

Another day, another Corbett.

This one took a 9km cycle ride up the rough track along Glen Vaich from Black Bridge. Then it was a steep up to a glorious cloudberry strewn plateau. At the first cairn on the break in the slope we sat in the sun to take in the view and have a drink and were joined by a tatty Golden Eagle who circled several times checking us out. I said it can probably get to the next peak in about 5 minutes and it promptly pulled in its wings and got round it in less than a minute. That showed us!

Of course, the zoom on the iPhone is not up to distant bird shots, so it just goes in the binocular assisted visual memory album.
