Fishing Of Various Sorts

Truthfully this image was taken yesterday evening, but such is life.

Here you can see the fishing boat Steadfast being loaded with an enormous net prior to heading out to sea.  It was fascinating to watch the process -- rather like a ballet, with the sailors carefully arranging their cargo on the deck so that it will be easily cast without snagging.  I can't begin to imagine how heavy that will be once it's filled with fish and soaking wet!

In the foreground, you can see a man standing on our dock at Sweet Haven, fishing.  He is our very first renter!  He will be leaving this morning, to be replaced with our second guest later this afternoon.  The bookings have been piling in, and we now only have about two weeks left available for the season!
