Living On The Edge

One of you asked what are we going to do in Tuatapere for two days.  Today I saw a sign saying Tuatapere . . . Living On The Edge.  So we have walked in the bush, inhaled the sea air, hunted for gemstones on the beach,  had a picnic under a blue sky and this evening we  will be dinning with the local Rugby club.  The Motel restaurant is staying open for them.  Now if that's not living on the edge.
The main blip is from Mccrackens Rest looking at Waewae Bay and the southern ocean.
1st extra the main street of Tuatapere
2nd extra the two of us on the start of the Hump Ridge Track in front of an example of the low land forest that those busy pioneers chopped down so they could make farms.
3rd extra my pretty stones worn smooth by the sea and found at Gemstone Beach

P.S I found the sausages at dinner.  The Motel had bought the rights to them in 2019 and now have them manufactured and sold at the office.  Tonight only the orignal recipe was availiable which is beef and mutton.  They were very good served with mash potatoe and peas.  Very old school menu.
