First we did a food shop this morning. Then Tony took Collette to have her first Covid injection, while I looked after Wade for her. He was very good but is a bit of a live wire. Sometimes his coat looks silver and other times it looks brown. He is a silver Lab Retriever with a mix of Weimaraner.
The coat colour is caused by two recessive genes that have only recently appeared in the Labrador gene pool. Their status as a pedigree is a hot debate. There are claims that Silver Labs are not purebred Labradors at all, but rather a crossbreed between a Labrador and a Weimaraner. Whatever he is we love him to bits. Have a nice day.
