Essential Supplies

Three achievements in my first visit to Liverpool for months: return an online purchase, visit the Tate, restock groceries unavailable in North Wales.
John Lewis wanted 30 quid to return a "large item" bought online, which was disappointing because it was a rug easily carried in by one person from the car, although there was a delay at the customer service car park bollard.
It was a stroll in the sunshine to lunch at the Albert Dock and to visit the Don McCullin exhibition at the Tate, exploring photographs of poverty in the UK and war abroad. This was a second visit, as there is a lot to see.
The day out concluded with shopping at W H Lung, restocking groceries that aren't available in the usual supermarkets and treats including Lo Mai Gai (sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf) for supper. Although I have always enjoyed Chinese food, the pandemic lockdowns showed that this is more essential than I had thought.
