La vida de Annie

By Annie

Mahon.

An early (9am) appointment at the police station in Mahon to collect our new biometric residency cards. The only sign of life in town was a bunch of policemen having breakfast in a nearby bar. This street corner, pre-plague, was always busy, and the benches occupied by pensionistas chatting and watching the world go by. I used to often see an old guy with his pet cat on a lead or in a shopping trolley.

Later on took Luna to the vet for her next vaccine, which she took in her stride. The vet looked closely at her and decided that the part of her which isn't Yorkie is most likely Shih Tzu, which according to Mr Google makes her a Shorkie, a popular cross-breed in the USA. That explains the round face, short legs and luxuriant thick fur, like a teddy bear.
