Phyteuma scheuchzeri

The fantastical flowers of the 'Oxford' or 'Horned' Rampion, Phyteuma scheuchzeri, now coming into flower in our back garden.

This plant is a close relative of the County Flower of Sussex, Phyteuma orbiculare, the Round-Headed Rampion or 'Pride of Sussex'.
