Just before takeoff

Went down to Strichen lake for a walk this morning and saw this heron. I guess I could have cropped it more but I rather like the background.
A warm but breezy day.
A bit disappointed that hardly any of my carrots have germinated at our allotment. Too cold then too dry I suspect.
Us gardeners are never happy with the weather!!
