A good day for dragons....

and not a consequence of the solar eclipse - which I did manage to see as the clouds cleared after 11 for a better show - but it was dragonflies galore down by Benfleet creek today as I went for a slow wander!

So now I need to start swotting up about all the different types as I'm clueless on all the different types! ANd they pose much nicer than butterflies do! Spotted a few flutterbys today but they decided not to stick around for a photo shoot! also heard the marsh frogs but still couldn't snap them, and the reed warblers were flitting in and out of the creek reeds today so managed to see a few
